Christmas is over, and the cleanup from the holidays will soon begin.

If you are wondering what to do with your Christmas tree, the city said you can have it turned into mulch.

The Let’s Chip In depots are now open until Jan. 31. People can bring their tree to any of the 10 locations and have their tree turned into mulch.

People are being reminded to remove all decorations from the tree before dropping it off.

Mulch will be available for free from the depots in early January – you just have to bring your own container to get some.

The tree recycling program has been in operation for 33 years, and in that time, the city has recycled over 425,000 trees.
