The Lethbridge Hurricanes are once again making roster moves, announcing a major trade Friday morning for an impactful power forward.

Lethbridge announced that it has acquired centre Jordan Gustafson from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for Hayden Pakkala and multiple draft picks, including a fifth-rounder in 2025, a third-rounder in 2026 and another third-rounder in the 2028 WHL prospects draft.

Gustafson is 20 years old, six feet tall, weighs 185 pounds and is a Las Vegas Golden Knights prospect who signed a three-year NHL contract last year.

He served as the Thunderbirds’ captain from 2023 to 2024, collecting 28 points in 32 games. The overage forward appeared in two WHL championship series in 2022 and 2023, but has not skated in a game this season due to injury.

The Hurricanes return to the ice Friday night, opening the second half of the season against the Calgary Hitmen at the VisitLethbridge.com …
