No serious injuries in apartment fire on Henderson Highway in Winnipeg [Video]

No one was hospitalized after a blaze broke out in a three-storey apartment building Saturday morning.

Winnipeg emergency crews said they were called to the 400 block of Henderson Highway around 9:37 a.m.

Firefighters went inside the building and brought the fire under control by 10 a.m.

Two people were assessed by paramedics on scene but weren’t taken to hospital.

Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team was deployed to provide temporary support to residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Vacant house fire on Young Street

On Friday night at around 11:26 p.m., crews were called to the 500 block of Young Street for reports of a vacant house fire.

The blaze was declared under control just before 1 a.m. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
