Surrey crime: 2 shot in fight outside pub [Video]

Two people were injured in a shooting outside of a Surrey pub in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Police were called to the scene on the 8500 block of 132 Street in the Newton area around 2:30 a.m.

“Surrey Police Service frontline officers responded to multiple calls from people … who were reporting that a large fight involving several people had escalated and two men had been shot,” a news release from the department said.

“The victims, both of whom were taken to hospital by bystanders, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.”

Two suspects were seen leaving the scene in a dark-coloured sedan. Police described them as South Asian men.
