Police, coroner investigating two deaths at Brantford, Ont. encampment [Video]

An investigation is underway into the deaths of two people at an encampment in Brantford, Ont.

Brantford Police were called to the area of Eagle Place at around 5:18 p.m. Thursday following a report of two people found dead in the vicinity.

Currently, investigators don’t believe foul play was involved.

Police said they are working with the Office of the Chief Coroner to gather more information about the deaths.

Police are advising the community to prioritize safe drug use and to reach out to local substance use services for support.

Anyone with any information abouts the deaths is being asked to contact police at 519-756-7050.

Mayor offers condolences

Brantford Mayor Kevin Davis extended his condolences to those impacted by the pair of deaths.
