A theft on Boxing Day from an Ontario liquor store led police to lay shoplifting charges against a man found in a stolen vehicle, investigators say.
The shoplifting incident happened on Dec. 26 shortly after 4:30 p.m. at an LCBO location in the Bolton area of Caledon, the OPP says.
Investigators had a description of a getaway vehicle and were able to locate the suspect, who police say was found in a stolen vehicle.
A 39-year-old of no fixed address was arrested and charged with multiple offences, police say.
The OPP says Paramjit Sandhu, 39, has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, three counts of fail to comply with probation order, possession of an identify document, operation while prohibited and other offences.
