Three-vehicle crash at Tecumseh Road and Byng Road [Video]

Windsor police say two people were taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Byng Road.

Shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday, police say officers arrived at the scene and saw three damaged vehicles, two with significant front-end damage and one with minor damage.

Through investigation, police say they learned that a motorist turned south from Tecumseh Road East onto Byng Road, which forced a second motorist to swerve to avoid a collision.

As a result of that action, officers say the second motorist then collided with a third vehicle – with the force of that impact pushing the third vehicle into a fourth vehicle.

Two drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Tecumseh Road East, between Turner Road and Byng Rd was closed to traffic for several hours while officers conducted their investigation.

Police say no charges have been laid at this time.
