The end of 2024 will see more wet weather with a mix of rain and snow in the forecast on New Year’s Eve in Mississauga, Toronto, Niagara Falls and most of southern Ontario.

Tuesday is expected to see mainly cloudy skies in the Greater Toronto Area with a 60 per cent chance of snow flurries or rain showers in the afternoon, Environment and Climate Change Canada says.

The clouds should roll in around noon in Mississauga with a daytime high of around 4 C.

Some areas like Niagara Falls are expected to see patches of fog in the morning hours with rainfall throughout the day.

Inching closer to the New Year’s Eve countdown, drivers on Highway 407 can expect rain in the evening hours with around 2 cm expected.

Winds throughout the day will be coming from the northeast at around 20 km/h gusting to 40 km/h and dying down …
