The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning for West Montrose as the community continues to experience above freezing temperatures.

The conservation authority said approximately 25 to 35 mm of rain has fallen across the watershed. Combined with the snowmelt, water levels are expected to rise even more throughout the week.

River flows are expected to reach Flood Warning Zone 1 in West Montrose through Monday evening and overnight. The flood warning will remain in effect until 12 p.m. on Thursday.
