The New Brunswick government released its annual list of the province’s top 10 baby names on Tuesday.

Noah was the top pick for baby boys in 2024 while Charlotte was the most popular choice for baby girls.

The New Brunswick government says these names were also popular in 2024:

  • Liam
  • Oliver
  • Henry
  • Jack
  • Olivia
  • Amelia
  • Elizabeth
  • Ellie

Many of the names are repeats from 2023, which also saw Liam, Olivia, Noah, Charlotte and Oliver make the list.

Noah, Charlotte, Oliver, Jack, Olivia and Amelia also made it into Nova Scotia’s list of most popular baby names this year.

The New Brunswick government says there were 5,822 births registered in the province between Jan. 1 and Dec. 15, down 219 from 6,041 registered births in 2023.
