Man accused of impairment in fatal October crash [Video]

A 19-year-old man has been accused of impaired driving in a fatal crash in Edmonton in October, police announced on Tuesday.

Police believe on Oct. 3 the man drove a Dodge Dakota into a cement barricade near 149 Street and Yellowhead Trail, killing his passenger, also a 19-year-old man whose remains were found in the burnt wreckage the next day.

The surviving driver, who was rescued by a passerby, was charged with impaired operation causing death, dangerous driving causing death, and impaired by alcohol over the legal limit and causing death.
