Child struck by vehicle in North York seriously injured: EMS [Video]

A child was seriously injured after they were struck by a vehicle in North York on New Year’s Eve, paramedics say.

Police were called to the intersection of Victoria Park and Sloane avenues, near Lawrence Avenue East at the Scarborough border, just before 10:45 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian struck.

Toronto Paramedics Services told CP24 that the child who was hit by the vehicle was transported to hospital in serious, but non-life-threatening condition. The child’s age is unknown.

Road closures were in effect but have since lifted.
