Two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 7 on Boxing Day leaves one driver dead, another injured in eastern Ontario [Video]

An eastern Ontario driver has died following a two-vehicle crash that happened on Highway 7 on Boxing Day, according to the Ontario provincial Police (OPP).

Emergency crews were called shortly after 2:30 p.m. to a two-vehicle collision in Innisville, north of Perth, Ont.

That was when paramedics transported both drivers to hospital.

An 87-year-old woman from Carleton Place, died in hospital on New Year’s Day.

Police say their investigation suggests that one of the vehicles pulled onto the highway, crashing into an oncoming vehicle.

The investigation into what led to the collision is ongoing.
