This week’s forecast brings steady sub-zero temperatures and occasional chances of snow. With very cold mornings and biting wind chills ahead, bundling up is no longer just practical—it’s essential. Winter’s grip has tightened, and it looks like southern Ontario is fully settling into the heart of the season.

As of today (Jan. 5), Ontario residents will start the day under mainly cloudy skies. Flurries will begin late morning and continue into the afternoon with morning wind chills expected to reach -14 C as wind speeds climb to 40 km/h. Daytime highs will start at -1 C and drop to -5 C as the day progresses. Cloudy skies will dominate the evening, accompanied by light winds increasing to 15 km/h. Overnight, temperatures will fall to -11 C, with wind chills making it feel as cold as -17 C.
