Manitoba weather: Extreme cold warnings no longer in effect [Video]

Extreme cold warnings are no longer in effect in Manitoba as of Tuesday afternoon. 

Warmer air is starting to weave its way into the province, bringing an end to the remaining warnings that had been in effect earlier in the northeast.

Light snow overnight in Winnipeg has also tapered off, leaving mainly cloudy skies behind. Down the road in Brandon, Man., light snow continues, but a nice mix of sun and cloud is expected in the southwest later this afternoon.

Daytime highs across the south and northwest will reach the mid- or upper-minus-teens in most areas. Northwest areas could see a few flurries, too.

While Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has ended the extreme cold warning for the northeast, it will still be a cold but sunny day in the region.
