It was another big day for passengers riding the new north-south LRT and with many looking to cut down on their commute CTV News Ottawa wanted to see if it’s faster to get from the south end to downtown by car or by train.
Reporter Katelyn Wilson started her day around 9:30 a.m. at Limebank Station and drove downtown to Rideau Station.
It took 27 minutes and 40 seconds and while traffic wasn’t too bad, in rush hour that may take a bit longer.
Back at Limebank Station, it was time to see how long it would take to ride the LRT downtown.
She arrived at 11:23 a.m. and it took 15 minutes from the time she bought her ticket to the time the train left the station.
