Two men are in custody and facing drug trafficking related charges after an RCMP operation in Swift Current.

The operation took place on Dec. 23 at around 11:45 a.m. Members of Sask. RCMP’s trafficking response team in addition to a plethora of other officers executed a search warrant at a home on 10th Avenue NW.

Two men were arrested at the scene. While searching the home, officers found and seized two replica guns, two edged weapons, 36 grams of cocaine, a sum of cash and additional evidence of drug trafficking, RCMP outlined in a news release on Wednesday.

As a result of the investigation, two Swift Current men, aged 61 and 62-years-old, face charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of the proceeds of …
