Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the death of a pedestrian who was hit by multiple vehicles in Eastwood on Tuesday.

Police said the woman was crossing 82 Street at 123 Avenue around 11 p.m. when she was hit by a man in a Mazda 3 driving through a green light, which then sent her into the path of a Honda CRV in the next lane.

The woman was killed. Police said she was jaywalking when she was hit, and alcohol on her part is believed to be a factor.

Both the drivers, a 37-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, remained on scene.

Police said no charges are being considered at this time.

Anyone who saw the crash, or who has footage of the crash, is asked to call EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a cell phone.
