A Mississauga high school has received a perfect score in a provincial ranking system developed by a research organization.

AL-Manarat Heights Islamic, a private school on Argentia Road, received a perfect “10 out of 10” rating from the Fraser Institute based on rankings from the most recent data from the 2022-2023 school year.

AL-Manarat conducts classes from pre-school to Grade 12, but the rankings are just for high school and are based on the results of several academic performance indicators in areas such as math and literacy.

Four other Ontario schools also received perfect ratings. In Ontario, 746 were studied for the ratings.

Considered a non-partisan think tank, the Fraser Institute has been ranking schools for more than 20 years in an effort, the organization says, to provide parents with independent information on how well their children’s schools are doing.
