Kitchener man and woman arrested in vehicle theft, drugs seized [Video]

A man and woman from Kitchener have been arrested in connection to a vehicle theft Wednesday evening.

At around 6:20 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police Service officers found a stolen Ram pick-up truck in the area of Mausser Avenue and Aspen Avenue.

Police said a man and a woman were inside the vehicle at the time.

When officers approached, the man got out of the truck and ran into an apartment building. The woman stayed in the truck and was arrested. Police surrounded the unit the man had entered and arrested him just after 8 p.m.

Police said officers seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, prescription pills, two pellet guns and two knives.

A 28-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man from Kitchener were both charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possessing a stolen credit card, occupying a motor vehicle …
