London police are looking for a woman involved in an assault in the north end of the city at the end of December.

On Sunday, Dec. 22, at roughly 8:20 p.m., a woman leaving a business in the area of Fanshawe Park Road East and North Centre Road was assaulted by an unknown woman.

The assailant fled on foot before police were contacted, and the victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She has since been released.

The suspect woman is described as a Black woman standing 5’4” tall with long dreadlocks. At the time of the assault, she was wearing a black winter coat, white hoodie style sweatshirt, black pants and white socks and shoes.

Police are asking anyone that may have been in the area between 7:30 and 8:45 p.m. who may have witnessed the event or be able to identify the suspect to contact them.
