FIRST ALERT OVERNIGHT – SUNDAY: Overnight into Saturday afternoon, an Alberta Clipper pushed into North Dakota, bringing light to moderate snowfall across our region and leading to snow- and ice-covered roads across much of our region. The snow will become lighter and more scattered as we head into the overnight hours, but it will still continue until early morning on Sunday, when any leftover flakes move east of Lakes Country. By that time, at least 1-3″ of snow accumulation, on top of the snow already seen Saturday morning, will occur, with some areas seeing higher totals than that. More importantly, strong northwesterly wind gusts above 30 mph will push through our region overnight into Sunday afternoon. This will cause blowing snow in some areas. The combination of snow accumulations and blowing snow means slick roads and low visibility, so a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for our region until 3 PM. Stick with Valley …
