A man has been charged with child pornography after the RCMP says it seized electronic devices from a home in Minto, N.B., last year.

Police started investigating in September 2023 after receiving information from the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Centre.

The RCMP says officers searched the home and seized several electronic devices on May 22, 2024. They also arrested a 33-year-old Minto man at the scene.

He was later released on conditions pending a future court appearance.

Tommie McGinley was charged with possession of child pornography on Thursday. He is due back in court on Feb. 25.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
