A third person faces murder charges in connection with a man found dead on the roadside in Niagara Region.
Daniel Sanvido, 38, was found dead on a grassy area in the Forkes Road and Highway 140 area of Port Colborne on Aug. 25, 2024.
Two people were arrested earlier and face first-degree murder charges. Police arrested 36-year-old Jade Hayward of St. Catharines on Jan. 2., and Jacob Cudney, 47, of Niagara Falls, was arrested on Jan. 3. Both Cudney and Hayward face first-degree murder charges.
At that time, police warned that Richard Stevens, 47, of Niagara Falls, was still wanted for first-degree murder and described him as armed and dangerous.
Officers arrested a third person in Niagara Falls on Thursday, Niagara Regional Police said. They added they had information that a wanted person was inside a home in the Stacey Drive and Victor Drive area and responded around 3:30 p.m.
