A series of wet, windy storms will arrive Friday and affect the region through at least the middle of next week. Valley wind and rain and Sierra snow are expected at times. Snow levels will rise above 7,000′ for the weekend, then fall to Lake Tahoe-level and below by next week. Carry chains over the passes. -Jeff
