Mayor Patrick Brown is demanding an apology from Ontario Liberal leader Bonnie Crombie over comments she allegedly made about Brampton.

In an audio clip that has surfaced today, a voice that has been identified as Crombie’s is heard saying, “I don’t go to anything in Brampton. It’s not my city. I don’t care.”

The comments were made in response to a question, and there is no context for why the remarks were made. There is also no reference to when the recording was made.

Crombie, who is currently leading her party in Ontario’s election campaign, has not responded to a request for a comment or clarification.

In a message on social media today, Brown said he expects Crombie to withdraw her comment and apologize.
