ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Cooler temperatures are showing up again, with sub-zero readings posting over northern and interior Alaska as the week draws to a close. For mainland areas, clear skies held through Friday.

Adak and other Aleutian and Alaska Peninsula communities will still deal with high winds Friday night, with elevated winds sticking around Saturday.

A mix of snow and rain shows up as storm surges north with warmer air and gusty winds Saturday night to Sunday over western Alaska. It starts over the Alaska Peninsula, and moves to the Yukon and Kuskokwim delta coasts. And that means more dynamic weather conditions next week.

A winter weather advisory is set for the Yukon delta coast. It takes effect noon Saturday and holds through Sunday 9 pm. Winds to 45 mph are likely with snow starting out, transitioning to rain Saturday night. This could be the same conditions going into …
