ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The high pressure that has dominated the Alaska weather picture for the past week is starting to weaken and that will allow a change in the weather pattern. The consistent clear skies will move out by the end of the week across Southcentral with mostly cloudy skies coming in. Rain and snow are possible for the north Gulf Coast.
The clouds will creep into the Interior at least briefly by the weekend and temperatures are expected to warm slightly around Fairbanks to near 20 degrees.
A High Wind Warning for the Yukon Delta Coast and the Lower Yukon areas has been extended until noon on Tuesday with wind gusts out of the east to 60 mph.
