A common brand of coolers has been recalled throughout Canada due to a risk of crushing hazards and potential fingertip amputation.

The official Health Canada report published today (Feb. 13) specified that the impacted products are Igloo 90 Qt Flip & Tow Rolling Coolers.

Information provided by federal officials indicated that all recalled models were manufactured before Jan. 2024 and come with a date code on the bottom of the product in a circular pattern, alongside an arrow pointing to the month of the manufacturing date and the last two digits of the year.

Additional features on all impacted coolers include “IGLOO” printed on the side and a tow handle.

Health Canada has reported that these coolers have been sold in multiple color combinations.
