Born and raised in the tiny rural community of Demaine, Saskatchewan, Evan Baxter‘s journey into the world of music began during the challenging times of the pandemic. Inspired by his older brother who took up the guitar during the lockdown, Evan quickly found his own passion for music. He began by immersing himself in the soulful storytelling of Chris Stapleton and the raw energy of 90’s rock icons such as Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains.

His latest offering to radio “Two Trips ‘Round the Sun” was penned by Evan and Kirt Baxter and showcases both his writing and vocal skills.

Evan Baxter is our special guest on the Saskatchewan Country Closeup. We talk about his brand new song “Two Trips ‘Round The Sun” and we preview what is on the way for him here in 2025.
