On March 9, the Liberal Party of Canada will choose a new leader. Whoever wins the race will also replace Justin Trudeau as prime minister of Canada. Chrystia Freeland, the former finance minister and deputy prime minister in Trudeau’s government, is among those vying for the job. She met with the Star’s editorial board earlier this week to make the case for why she’s the right person for the moment.
