Snowstorm continues into the evening and tomorrow to parts of southern Ontario [Video]

The recent snowstorm has left its mark across southern Ontario, covering streets in a thick, icy blanket and leaving piles of snow along curbs.

The blast of winter has also disrupted daily routines, causing flight delays and cancellations at major airports like Toronto Pearson. While some areas have seen a brief break in the weather, the wintry conditions aren’t done yet. More flurries are expected through the evening in certain regions, keeping shovels and snow plows busy for a while longer.

Environment Canada says hazardous conditions persist, with additional snowfall of 15 to 25 centimetres expected in areas like Pickering, Oshawa and surrounding parts of southern Durham. Snowfall rates could reach three to five centimetres per hour, reducing visibility due to blowing snow. The storm is forecast to ease by around 7 p.m.

Travel remains treacherous in these areas, and officials advise postponing non-essential trips until conditions improve.
