Another set of recalls has been issued this week for food and household items, posing risks such as vehicle crashes, finger amputations, and ingredients not mentioned on the label that could trigger allergic reactions.

Here’s what is being recalled this week:

Reese branded hitch receiver locks

Reese has recalled hitch receiver locks for 1/2″ and 5/8″ hitch receivers with part numbers 7057030, 7057266, 7054630 and 7057166.

The locks may have a cap that can loosen or detach over time, potentially causing the pin to back out. This could lead to the hitch separating from the drawbar or ball mount. If safety chains are not in use, the trailer could detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The company reported that 84,474 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between September 2019 and June 2024.

Risks: Poses crash hazard.

What you should do: Stop using the recalled product and return it to the original retailer to receive a replacement.
