Prince Harry praised all those who make the Invictus Games a “platform for positive change” as he gave a powerful speech at the closing ceremony of this year’s tournament in Canada on Sunday.

The Duke of Sussex arrived in Vancouver last Friday and stayed until this past Sunday, attending various events throughout the week.

On Sunday, Harry took to the stage and paid tribute to Canada’s First Nations people, Invictus athletes and their families as he spoke in front of 12,000 people who had filled the Rogers Arena in Vancouver to farewell the 2025 event.

He said: “As you have seen and experienced, this week is so much more than a sporting event. It is a platform for positive change.”

The prince praised the Invictus community and said that it was making the world a better place.

He said: “You might swear allegiance to different flags, but you stand united in your decency, your compassion and your spirit of service.
