Airport officials say all 80 people on board the Delta Airlines flight from the US have been safely evacuated, as ITV News US Correspondent Dan Rivers reports

At least 15 people, including one child, were injured when a plane crash-landed and flipped over at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday.

Delta Airlines flight 4819 crash-landed around 2.45pm local time (7.45pm GMT), leaving one passenger critically injured, according to local reports.

Photos on social media show the Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR overturned on a snowy tarmac.

All 80 passengers were safely evacuated.

The leader of Ontario province, Doug Ford, said on social media that there were “no casualties” in the crash landing.

It’s too early to say what caused the plane to flip but weather may have played a factor.

According to the Meteorological Service of Canada, the airport was experiencing snow and winds up to 40mph, with temperatures around -8.6 Celsius.
