Temperatures finally warming up this weekend in southern Ontario [Video]

After heavy snow and cold temperatures, the weather looks a little less challenging this weekend in southern Ontario.

Southern Ontario residents were hit with huge snowfalls in the span of a few days. Last weekend’s storms dumped 25 cm of snow at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga and 32 cm in Hamilton.

Following the snow, temperatures plunged on Family Day Monday. Wind chills around -20 C were forecast for parts of the province. The rest of the week has been much the same with frigid temperatures and wind chills dipping down to -20 C in the GTA.

The high for Thursday is expected to be around -7 C with lows down to -12 C feeling like -18 C.

But temperatures are expected rise starting on Friday.

A high of -3 C and partly sunny skies are expected on Friday in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, and Halton Region, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. It could be slightly colder in Hamilton and Durham Region. The wind chill could make …
