MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Police Department says that a man and an underaged boy are both in the hospital Monday night after a robbery-turned-shooting in Frayser.
At 7:06 p.m., officers got a call about a shooting in the 1600 block of Ontario Avenue.
Action News 5 found a crime scene outside the Marathon gas station on this street, but police have not confirmed that’s where the crime occurred.
Police say a boy, whose exact age has not been released, was assaulted and robbed in the area.
He was sent to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital with non-critical injuries. It’s unclear at this time whether or not the gunfire struck him.
About 36 minutes later, MPD got a call about a male shooting victim who was dropped off at Regional One Hospital.
