Armed men swarmed and carjacked vehicle in broad daylight in Ontario, police say [Video]

Police are seeking to identify suspects after four individuals armed with knives swarmed and hijacked a vehicle in broad daylight.

According to York Regional Police, the incident occurred yesterday (Feb. 24) around 10 p.m. near a plaza parking lot in the area of Highway 7 West and Marycroft Avenue just east of Woodbridge. 

The victim told police that whilst they were sitting in their vehicle — a white 2020 Jaguar F-Pace SVR — they were approached by four masked individuals, all of which were armed with knives. 

Police say the individuals pulled the victim and a passenger out of the car and demanded the keys. 

They then escaped in the victim’s vehicle.

According to police, no injuries have been reported at this time. 

The suspect vehicle is described as a white 2020 Jaguar F-Pace SVR with an Ontario licence plate BPSC 711. The vehicle has black tire rims and loud exhaust. 

Police have described the suspects as four Black males who were wearing masks and armed with knives.
