There has been speculation about a new Costco coming to the northwest end of Mississauga, and now there’s another hint that it might actually be going ahead.

In 2024, INsauga.com reported that a proposal prepared to go before a City committee showed the retail giant wanted to open a “business centre” at Winston Churchill Boulevard and Argentia Road.

It called for Costco to be located in the building that originally housed Rona but has been long vacant.

Neither Costco nor the City of Mississauga officially confirmed the reports at the time.

But a new clue has emerged from real estate company SmartCentres.

The website for its 810,247 square-foot SmartCentres Meadowvale property now lists Costco as one of the businesses located there.

The website also includes a map which again shows Costco.
