ONTARIO, Ore. — Roughly 200 people marched through the streets of Ontario, Oregon, on Friday to show solidarity with people who are undocumented amid concerns over the Trump Administration’s promised crackdown on illegal immigration.
“We’re here, we’re loud, we’re proud,” lead organizer Jessica Vasquez said. “We are not stepping down.”
Vasquez began organizing the march last month after seeing similar demonstrations across the country. People who attended the event told KTVB they wanted to stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves right now.
“To show people who are here in the community that we stand with you, we support you, and that we can be your voice for you even though you’re scared right now,” Vasquez said.
