Workers nab liquor store shoplifter leading to charges for Brampton man [Video]

Charges have been laid against a Brampton man after loss prevention workers stopped an alleged shoplifter at an Ontario liquor store.

The incident happened on Friday at a liquor store on Broadway in Orangeville, the OPP says.

Police were called to the store around 8:30 p.m. and when officers arrived they found loss prevention workers had detained a male suspect.

The OPP took over the investigation and say a 36-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged with multiple offences.

Ravinder Singh, 36, of Brampton, has been charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting, and possession of a credit card, the OPP says.
