ONTARIO, Canada – Ontario Premier Doug Ford has issued an apology to Americans, expressing frustration over trade tensions between Canada and the United States. Ford has voiced his readiness to halt electricity exports to the U.S. if President Donald Trump’s 25 percent tariffs on Canadian goods remain in place.

These tariffs were implemented overnight, prompting reactions from both Canada and Mexico. Mexico has also imposed a 25 percent tariff on U.S. goods in response.
