Several critics of Donald Trump have celebrated a speech by incoming Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney that takes aim at Trump multiple times.

Tensions are currently high between the U.S. and Canada, as Trump has repeatedly threatened Canada with tariffs since taking office in January and implemented some of these.
Carney, the banking executive who Canada’s Liberal Party has selected to take over from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at least until Canada’s next general election later this year, will handle trade and tariff talks with Trump.
The president has also repeatedly talked about his desire to make Canada part of the United States, but the idea has been roundly rejected by Canada’s Liberal and Conservative parties.
