Heavy rain is forecast for parts of southern Ontario this weekend.
Temperatures are expected to soar — up to 20 C in areas around Windsor and Chatham on Friday but the weather will change again on the weekend.
There is a “significant weather outlook” starting Saturday and into Sunday in southern Ontario, Environment and Climate Change Canada said on X.
“Significant rainfall amounts and strong wind gusts are possible,” Environment Canada said on its website.
A strong Colorado low is expected to bring 10 to 20 mm of rain to areas around the GTA, however, it looks like Toronto and areas in the southern part of the GTA will be spared from the heaviest rain.
Rain and strong wind gusts are expected on Saturday and Sunday for Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Durham Region, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and Niagara Region.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs of around 16 C in the GTA on Saturday and Sunday.
