Bizarre ‘Huge Line Shadow’ in the Sky Spotted From Plane Intrigues Internet [Video]

A video of a strange shadow line in the sky spotted from a plane has gone viral on TikTok.

The unusual scene was captured by user @aliya.mary and has garnered 23.8 million views since it was posted on March 9.

A note overlaid on the video reads: “Does anyone know what this huge line shadow is?”

The footage, which was captured over Creede, a town in Colorado, shows an aerial view from a plane window, with a dark black line stretching across the sky above a vast landscape below.

A caption shared with the post says: “I’ve tried to find answers online but nothing appeared. I was thinking it could be the international space station but I am not sure. Anyone know the answer?”

While it has yet to be confirmed what the sighting may be, it could be the shadow of a contrail, which is a vapor trail produced by jet engines.
