Milwaukee is known as “Brew City” — because of its rich beer history and dozens of craft breweries. But now, trouble is brewing for many Milwaukee beer companies as 25% tariffs have gone into effect on Canadian aluminum and steel. At Indeed Brewing Company in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point, beer flows like water. But soon, that endless supply could hit a dam.”There’s just not a world in which a major price increase to aluminum doesn’t affect the craft brewing industry,” said Ryan Bandy, Indeed Brewing’s Chief Business Officer.On March 12, President Donald Trump’s 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum from Canada went into effect.
