Ontario home hit by arson third time leads to search for suspect in Mississauga and Brampton [Video]

Two men have been charged and police are searching for a third suspect who could be in Mississauga or Brampton following an arson at an Ontario home that’s been targeted multiple times, investigators say.

The most recent incident happened shortly after 5 a.m. on Jan. 18 when the Windsor Police Service says officers were called to an active fire at a new-build home in the 200 block of Cowan Court.

Police say firefighters with the Amherstburg Fire Department were called to the scene and extinguished the blaze, which was the third time in 16 months that the property “was the target of an arson attack.”

No physical injuries were reported during the incident but the fire caused over $1 million in damages to the home and a neighbouring property, police say.
