While temperatures will be on the warmer side, it looks like another round of gloomy skies and freezing rain will carry into Sunday, bringing a messy mix of conditions that could impact travel across southern Ontario.

The morning sky will not deliver much of a sunrise for those hoping to catch Sunday’s 7 a.m. view, bringing overcast conditions.

Residents in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Hamilton will wake up to periods of freezing rain. Winds will also come from the east at 20 km/h, with daytime highs reaching 5 to 6 C.

Durham will start the day on a chilly note. Wind chills in the morning will make it feel closer to –7 C. Freezing rain will begin early and is expected to taper off by noon, with an accumulation of nearly 5 mm. Daytime highs will rise to 5 C with brisk winds of 20 km/h.
