Louisville held its inaugural Earth Fest, promoting environmental awareness and community engagement in Alberta O. Jones Park.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville celebrated its first-ever Earth Fest at Alberta O. Jones Park in the California neighborhood.

Earth Fest gave the community a chance to become engaged with local organizations that are leading efforts to protect the city’s environment.

The festival feature cuisine from local restaurants, music, environmental activities, volunteering and a resource fair.

More than 35 environmental and community groups were also on hand sharing information and resources at Saturday’s event.

“This is really meaningful for the community to meet new people and network and find out about all of the really important nonprofits and organizations in the environmental space in Louisville,” Ellie Davenport with Louisville Grows said.

Earth Fest was made possible by Mayor Craig Greenberg’s administration, Louisville Metro Government and the Parks Alliance of Louisville.

Officials say the Earth Fest will return in 2026.
