20 C temperature swing expected this week in the Greater Toronto Area [Video]

A big temperature swing is expected in the Greater Toronto Area this week.

The first day of April has started out cool, -1 C in the morning, and dropping down to -2 C in the evening, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada. With the wind chill it could feel like -7 C overnight.

On Wednesday, the weather will change with heavy rain—up to 50 mm—and thunderstorms possible. A high of 4 C is expected during the day and the temperature will gradually increase in the evening with a high of 7 C forecast.

The temperature will continue to rise on Thursday with a high of 18 C forecast in Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Burlington and Oakville. It could be warmer in Durham Region with a high of 19 C, and cooler in Hamilton with a high of 16 C.

Rain is also expected to continue on Thursday.
